Successfully Organize Your Life

Today I’m sharing how I use #InkJoyGel in my life as part of an InkJoy Gel sponsored series for Socialstars™

As a business owner, it has always been a challenge for me to schedule both my personal and professional day-to-day tasks.  It is honestly very overwhelming at times.  There are many online tools today to help with organization, but it still can’t compare to my trusty planner!  There is something relaxing and rewarding when I actually take that 5 minutes in the morning to plan out my day.  Not to mention the instant gratification when you can cross something off your to-do list!  I have learned that color coding the different roles of my life make managing my daily activities that much easier.

I like to use Paper Mate® InkJoy ® Gel pens when adding a pop of color to my planner.  I like to set aside 7 different colors to organize my life.  They are: Blog, Travel/Social, Finances, Food/Water, Projects,  Appointments, and Cleaning.  I love having one spot where I can schedule out my day for each area I need to focus on.

As a business owner that works with several different clients at once, color coding has been a system I use to keep them organized at all time.  (I often use a color that always matches their branding!)  In setting up a calendar to manage tasks for a specific project, I would again choose a color I can easily associate with the client for quick reference of my schedule throughout the day.

Color coding can also be a useful tool when it comes to managing tasks around your home. For assigning chores to your kids, or for organizing events and appointments between you and your significant other, have each member of your household pick a favorite color to use. Keep a calendar handy on your fridge where everyone can see it!

Color can also be helpful for managing diet or exercise. Schedule your meals and fitness regiment using a bright color in your calendar. I often have a problem with not drinking enough water throughout the day.  I like to keep count by marking an “x” off in my planner after I have drank 8 oz.  (with the color associated with food/water of course!) This is such a great way to keep yourself accountable.  Paper Mate® InkJoy ® Gel pens have innovative gel ink that don’t smear like other gel pens.

Adding a splash of color to your organizational workflow helps bring an eye-catching visual component to task management, but it also helps to beautify and personalize the tools we use to organize ourselves.

You will love how Paper Mate® InkJoy ® Gel pens brings the joy to organizing!  They are my favorite tool for staying on top of my business and personal life.  Be sure to check out InkJoy Gel on Facebook and Twitter

This is really smart! I’ve been trying to use a digital calendar – which is great for keeping all of the family’s schedules organized. However, it’s not helpful for to-do lists like this. I need a better system & will keep color coding in mind to help.

When I was a teacher I made a list every day before I left school and it was the first thing I looked at when I arrived the next morning. It made a big difference in helping me plan my day and get things done. I wish I would’ve thought of using these colored pens. I wish I would’ve thought of color coding back then, but I still make lists now so it’s not too late for me to start.

These are really pretty pens. I also love that it is textured for a better grip. I have to agree that color coding is really helpful to get things organized.

Planning the day out is the only way I accomplish anything! I too love the feeling of crossing things off the good old to do list.

I am lovin’ the greens and blues of the InkJoy pens. I honestly haven’t heard of these pens until last month, and I didn’t know that they wrote like this – I really like the way they look.

I actually JUST bought the .5 colored pens the other day. I LOVE THEM! They are perfect. I want to try these .7 ones and see if they’re just as awesome.

I love this. I am also one that loves to write things down and see it right in front of me as opposed to everything being digital. I am currently going through a crazy season and know that I need to start planning and scheduling things that I never thought I would have to. I know that in the big scheme of things though, it will make things that much better the more organized I am. Thanks for this!
